Russian Drone Strike Kills At Least 13 Civilians at Dnipro Railway Station
A deadly Russian drone attack hit Dnipro, while Ukraine claimed two Russian Su-34 jets destroyed and Moscow outlined conditions for upcoming peace talks.
The day on the war
A Russian drone struck a crowded railway station platform in Dnipro on Thursday, killing at least 13 people and injuring 10 others, according to Ukrainian officials. President Volodymyr Zelensky described the daytime attack as "horrific." The strike hit a platform where both a commuter and a passenger train were reportedly stationed. This incident was part of a broader wave of Russian strikes across Ukraine, which also included a cruise missile attack in Chernihiv that killed two 15-year-old girls and injured approximately 20, and a drone strike on a residential building in Kremenchuk that claimed three lives and injured several. In total, at least 19 people were killed and 82 injured in Russian long-range strikes across Ukraine on October 29.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces reported successful strikes against Russian military assets. The Ukrainian Navy stated that two Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers were destroyed in a Neptune missile strike on the Marinovka airfield in Russia's Volgograd region. Additionally, the Ukrainian General Staff claimed strikes on a Russian drone storage depot, a drone launch point, and a fuel and lubricants warehouse near Navlya in Bryansk Oblast on October 28 or overnight into October 29.
