The day on the war

Kyiv experienced a significant Russian ballistic missile attack overnight, resulting in at least one fatality and 13 injuries. The strikes ignited fires across five districts of the capital, damaging residential buildings and other structures.

Ukraine's air force issued warnings about the ballistic missile threat as explosions rocked the city early Sunday. In response, Ukrainian forces reported a series of strikes deep within Russian territory and occupied areas.

Targets included an oil depot in Stavropol Krai, which Ukraine claims to have hit for the third time in recent weeks. Additionally, explosions were reported in occupied Luhansk, and an electric substation in Yalta, Crimea, caught fire, causing power outages.

The Kerch bridge was also temporarily closed after explosions were heard in the area. Ukraine's General Staff further claimed hits on a fuel depot near Noginsk, maritime vessels in the Black and Azov seas, and a patrol ship in Kerch.
