The day on the war

A wave of Ukrainian drone attacks targeted multiple Russian regions overnight, including the Moscow region, where three people were killed and five injured after a drone crashed into private homes in Pionersky. Two more people were wounded in Solnechnogorsk, and a drone strike in the Stavropol region sparked a fire at an industrial zone.

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed to have intercepted 342 Ukrainian drones across various regions. In response, Russian forces launched their own drone barrage against Ukraine.

Overnight strikes on Odesa damaged transport infrastructure, setting several buses on fire and damaging four private homes, injuring three men. In the Chernihiv region, Russian drones hit an energy facility, disrupting electricity for nearly 69,000 consumers.

These exchanges underscore the ongoing air war and the targeting of both military and civilian-linked infrastructure. The Ukrainian General Staff also claimed Russia lost 1,600 personnel and 1,734 drones over the past day.
