The international women's cricket calendar is currently in a brief lull before the highly anticipated Women's Asia Cup 2026, set to begin on August 28 in Dubai. The tournament will feature eight nations competing in the T20 format at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Group A comprises India, Pakistan, Thailand, and Hong Kong, China, while Group B includes defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the UAE. India will kick off their campaign on August 30 against Thailand, followed by matches against Hong Kong, China on September 3, and a significant clash with arch-rivals Pakistan on September 5.

Sri Lanka enters the tournament as the defending champions, having claimed the title in 2024, while Indonesia will make their debut in the competition. All 15 matches, including the semi-finals and final, will be hosted in Dubai.
