At Old Trafford, Manchester, England secured a four-wicket victory over India in a thrilling T20 International on July 4. Chasing India's total of 190 for 7, England reached their target with an over to spare.

Jacob Bethell was the star for England, crafting an unbeaten 76 runs from just 46 balls, guiding his team home after coming to the crease at 51 for 3. Harry Brook also contributed a quickfire 39 off 15 deliveries.

For India, Ishan Kishan top-scored with 49 from 40 balls, and Abhishek Sharma added 43 off 24. Sam Curran was England's most effective bowler, taking 3 wickets for 33 runs.

India's Arshdeep Singh also claimed 3 wickets for 40 runs. The match also saw India's Vaibhav Sooryavanshi make his international debut. This result gives England an early lead in the five-match series.
