The story

At the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi, the West Indies pulled off a historic run chase against India in the second T20I. India, batting first, posted a formidable 249/5, fueled by Sanju Samson's 82 off 41 balls, Ishan Kishan's quickfire 43, and late surges from Tilak Varma (44* off 18) and Shreyas Iyer (40 off 18).

However, the West Indies responded with an extraordinary batting display. Despite Mayank Yadav's early breakthroughs, claiming 3/36, captain Shai Hope anchored the innings with a blistering unbeaten 102 off just 45 deliveries.

He found an aggressive partner in Sherfane Rutherford, who smashed 84 runs from 37 balls. Their crucial 120-run fourth-wicket partnership turned the tide, enabling the West Indies to complete their highest successful T20I chase, finishing on 252/4 with nine balls to spare.
