The story

At the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India clinched the T20I series against Afghanistan with a commanding seven-wicket win. Chasing Afghanistan's total of 159/8, India reached 163/3 in just 14.5 overs.

The foundation for the chase was laid by Sanju Samson, who smashed a breathtaking 57 runs off only 22 balls, including seven fours and four sixes. He was well-supported by Abhishek Sharma, who contributed 39 runs from 19 deliveries, forming a rapid 93-run opening partnership.

Ishan Kishan then guided India home with an unbeaten 38 runs. Earlier, Afghanistan's innings saw contributions from Ibrahim Zadran (37) and Darwish Rasooli (26), but Nitish Kumar Reddy's impressive spell of 3/24 and Arshdeep Singh's 2/35 restricted their scoring.
