England Seize Command at Lord's, Lead Pakistan by 261 Runs on Day 2
England's bowlers, led by Ollie Robinson, dismantled Pakistan's first innings, setting up a dominant position in the second Test.
The story
Day two of the second Test at Lord's saw England take a commanding lead against Pakistan. Resuming their first innings at 248/9 after rain delays on day one, England added 42 more runs to be bowled out for 290.
Pakistan's reply was short-lived, as they were dismissed for a paltry 110 runs in just 37.2 overs. Ollie Robinson was the chief destroyer for England, claiming four wickets for just 11 runs from his 13 overs, including six maidens.
Jofra Archer also contributed with three wickets for 26 runs, while Josh Tongue picked up two. Pakistan's top order struggled, with opener Shan Masood falling for one and captain Babar Azam managing only eight.
Azan Awais offered some resistance, top-scoring with 46. By stumps, England had extended their lead to 261 runs, reaching 81/3 in their second innings with Emilio Gay unbeaten on 30.
