The story

At the County Ground in Bristol yesterday, England delivered a commanding performance to defeat India by nine wickets, securing an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. After winning the toss and electing to bat, India posted a total of 158/7 from their 20 overs, largely thanks to captain Shreyas Iyer's resilient unbeaten 80 runs off 49 balls. However, India struggled early, losing three quick wickets before reaching the 50-run mark. Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue each claimed two wickets for England.

In response, England made light work of the chase, reaching 159/1 in just 13.5 overs. Openers Phil Salt and Harry Brook built a formidable partnership, with Brook smashing an impressive 79* off 35 deliveries and Salt contributing 59* off 42 balls. Harry Brook was named Player of the Match for his match-winning innings. This victory marks England's first T20 bilateral series win against India since 2012 and extends India's current T20I losing streak to six matches.
