The story

At Emirates Old Trafford, England clinched a four-wicket victory over India in the second T20I, taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. India, after winning the toss and electing to bat, posted a competitive 190/7.

Ishan Kishan top-scored with 49 runs, while Abhishek Sharma contributed a quickfire 43. Sam Curran was the pick of England's bowlers, claiming 3/33.

In response, England successfully chased down the target of 191 with an over to spare, finishing on 191/6. The innings was anchored by Jacob Bethell, who played a match-winning knock of 76 not out from just 46 deliveries, featuring five fours and five sixes.

India's Arshdeep Singh took 3/40. The match also saw Vaibhav Sooryavanshi make his T20I debut for India, becoming the country's youngest-ever international cricketer, and Axar Patel became the first Indian spinner to reach 100 T20I wickets.
