The story

In a dramatic finish to the third One-Day International in Dhaka on June 14, Australia edged out Bangladesh by one wicket, largely thanks to a magnificent maiden century from Cooper Connolly. Chasing Bangladesh's challenging total of 274/5, Australia appeared to be cruising with Connolly (149 off 134 balls) and Oliver Peake at the crease.

However, a late batting collapse saw Australia lose a flurry of wickets, pushing the game into the final over. With nine runs needed from 29 balls, Peake departed, triggering a tense finish.

It was left to the tail-enders to secure the win, with Adam Zampa hitting a boundary through cover with three balls remaining to seal the nail-biting victory. While Australia celebrated the win, Bangladesh secured the three-match series 2-1.
